The governors of St Anne’s Catholic School seek to appoint an enthusiastic and effective teacher to the role of Teacher of Design and Technology. St Anne’s is a highly successful 11–16 girls’ school with a mixed sixth form in the heart of Southampton. The successful candidate will join an effective and established Creative Design team led by experienced Heads of Department, delivering high-quality and engaging teaching of subjects including Design & Technology, Food Technology, Textiles and Art. We are seeking a teacher who can offer GCSE Food and Nutrition with a willingness to offer another subject within Creative Design (including art) at least to KS3 level. The successful candidate will plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons within a well-sequenced curriculum and support students of all abilities to make strong academic progress. The role also includes contributing to the collaborative work of the Creative Design department, maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment, and participating in wider departmental and whole-school activities.
