Following the retirement of the current postholder after 24 years’ service, the governors of St Anne’s Catholic School seek to appoint a new Second in Religious Education. A committed Christian is desirable, but applications are welcomed from practising members of non-Catholic denominations who will be able to lead aspects of the religious life of the school. The successful
candidate will help to lead a highly successful, supportive department who teach from Year 7 to Year 13 and will bring a strong, joyful presence to the classroom. The department also leads PSHE and the Chaplaincy work within in the school.
Religious Education is a core subject at St Anne’s and girls enjoy a wide variety of experiences in their learning. GCSE results are consistently well above national rates. The department is well resourced. All staff are committed to developing the girls’ journey of faith and encouraging the students in their academic study of the subject.
Staff at St Anne’s enjoy a very positive CPD programme with a strong commitment to individual career development. Staff wellbeing is at the heart of every decision the school makes.
