We are looking for a new School Librarian and Resources Manager to lead and continue to develop our library provision.
This is a varied and highly student-facing role. At its heart is responsibility for an established and much-loved school library, but the role extends beyond traditional library management. The successful candidate will help us to strengthen reading for pleasure across the school, develop the provision in our Sixth Form Annexe and ensure that careers information and opportunities form part of the learning resources available to our young people.
We are looking for someone who loves books and reading, enjoys working with young people and has the organisation, initiative and creativity to make things happen.
You do not need to arrive having done exactly this job before. Relevant experience might have been gained in a school or library, but it might equally come from bookselling, publishing, education, youth work or another environment in which you have developed the skills and enthusiasm that this role requires.
Closing date: 12th of October
Interviews: W/C 19th of October
