Please find below the announcement sent to parents and carers relating to our new Headteacher appointment:
Following a recent recruitment campaign here at
St Anne’s, I am pleased to tell you that the Board of Governors has now
completed a full and rigorous recruitment process to appoint a new Head.
The process was led by a panel of governors with external
advisors and involved staff and students from across the whole school.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Julian
Waterfield as the new Headteacher of our school. Mr Waterfield has been an important
member of community for a number of years and has shown tremendous leadership
and integrity since he took on the post in an interim capacity.
Mr Waterfield will ensure that St Anne’s Community will
remain faithful to our Catholic identity and LSU values, welcoming of all, and
‘united by our shared values, not divided by our differences’.
He will begin his new post on Monday 3 March 2025, and we
are all really looking forward to working with him in our school community to
take us further on our journey of excellence.
On behalf of the governing body, I would like to take this
opportunity to say an enormous thank you to everyone who was involved in this
process – all the candidates commented on how welcome they were made to feel by
all school staff and what fantastic attitudes all the students showed. They
were, and are, wonderful ambassadors for our school.
